Ilona Herc

Ilona Herc graduated from the Art Institute of the Silesian University in Katowice. In 1998, she earned her diploma in painting under the studio of Prof. Zygmunt Lis.

She is an active member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers (ZPAP) and the Association of Polish Pastelists.

Her artwork embodies childlike joy and focus, blending realism with abstract spaces filled with vibrant colours. Her paintings reflect a child's perspective, capturing observations of mysterious environments with sensitivity.

The excitement of discovery—both ordinary and extraordinary—is evident in her work, which freezes moments in time and invites reflection, allowing unasked questions to surface. Herc's art documents fleeting experiences and expresses transient emotional states.
