Eugenia Rewera

Eugenia Rewera is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, where she received her diploma in 1985 from the Faculty of Painting and Graphic Arts in the studio of Witold Janowski and Tomasz Bogusławski. After studying for five years in Canada, she completed postgraduate studies in graphic design and computer animation at Sheridan College in Toronto.
Her professional career is fuelled by her passion for graphic design, multimedia, and illustration. She has collaborated with companies such as The Stanford Group, Levis, Young Digital Planet, and Bureau of Extraordinary Art.
For many years, she has been focusing on painting. She is inspired by female body and shows it in semi figurative and expressive manner.
Her works, far from realism, consist of a synthesis of form, colour and movement – the body becomes the structure and colour becomes the interior of the painting.
The artist has showed her works at numerous exhibitions and galleries, among others, in Barcelona ( where she lived for almost two years) and in London.
She participated in the graphic design project "Sweet Art," presented at the Łaźnia Centre for Contemporary Art in Gdańsk (2007). Her paintings are in private collections in Kuwait, Sweden, England, Canada, Spain, Poland, USA, and New Zealand.
At the end of 2024 she was a resident artist at VivaQi gallery in Tenerife and is taking part in group exhibition Viva Tenerife! in Gdańsk, Poland.

Absolwentka Państwowej Wyższej Szkoły Sztuk Plastycznych w Gdańsku (obecnie ASP), gdzie w 1985 roku uzyskała dyplom na Wydziale Malarstwa i Grafiki w pracowni Witolda Janowskiego i Tomasza Bogusławskiego. Po studiach przez pięć lat mieszkała w Kanadzie, kończąc podyplomowe studia z grafiki i animacji komputerowej w Sheridan College w Toronto.
Jej kariera zawodowa związana była głównie z projektowaniem graficznym, multimediami i ilustracją. Współpracowała m.in. z The Stanford Group, Levis, Young Digital Planet czy Bureau of Extraordinary Affairs.
Od wielu lat koncentruje się na malarstwie. Inspirują ją kobiece postacie, które przedstawia w ujęciu figuratywnym i ekspresyjnym. Jej prace, dalekie od realizmu, skupiają się na syntezie formy, koloru i ruchu – ciało staje się konstrukcją, a kolor wyznacza nastrój obrazu.
Artystka wystawiała swoje prace m.in. w Barcelonie, gdzie mieszkała prawie dwa lata, oraz w Londynie. Brała udział w projekcie multimedialnym „Słodka sztuka”, prezentowanym w Centrum Sztuki Współczesnej „Łaźnia” w Gdańsku (2007). Jej obrazy znajdują się w prywatnych kolekcjach w Kuwejcie, Szwecji, Anglii, Kanadzie, Hiszpanii, Polsce, USA i Nowej Zelandii.
